Does Pinterest have an MCP server?

Pinterest has announced one. Its developer page, read on 2026-10-19, describes a remote server at api.pinterest.com/mcp for Claude, Cursor and VS Code, aimed at bringing Pinterest Ads capabilities into AI tools: searching Pins, managing boards, trends, audience and keyword insights. The page still invites you to sign up to hear when it launches, so we treat it as upcoming. It is ads and insights first. SociaHive is the opposite: it schedules and publishes organic Pins, and covers your other social accounts through the same server.

Pinterest MCP server link: where to find it

The Pinterest MCP server link depends on which server you mean. Pinterest's own page lists a remote address, https://api.pinterest.com/mcp, in its sample configuration, but the same page still says to sign up to be told when it launches. Check it before you rely on it.

SociaHive's server is live now at https://www.sociahive.com/api/mcp. It is a remote server, so there is nothing to install. Paste the URL into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client, sign in with OAuth, and connect your Pinterest account once through Pinterest's own sign-in screen.

Servers on GitHub, such as terryso/mcp-pinterest, have no fixed link. You run them on your own machine and give them a Pinterest token or keys. That is free and you control it, but you maintain it.

Pinterest MCP for Claude: schedule Pins to boards

To use Pinterest MCP with Claude, add https://www.sociahive.com/api/mcp, sign in, and ask Claude to schedule a Pin. It can create the Pin with create_scheduled_post and show it in your calendar before it goes live.

Every Pin is saved to a board. Ask Claude to look at your boards first. It uses list_pinterest_boards, picks one and passes it along as the board for the Pin. If you have a single board, it is chosen for you.

What a Pin takes:

  • One image or one video.
  • A title, taken from the first line of the text, up to 100 characters.
  • A description, up to 800 characters.
  • A link: a URL in the text becomes the Pin's link.

Going live right now is a separate step. publish_post_now asks you to confirm first. After publishing, get_post_analytics and get_analytics_overview read your Pin results.

The same image can go to Instagram and other platforms in one request, with different wording for each. Scheduling is on every plan. Using it from an AI assistant needs the 7-day trial (no card) or a paid plan.
