Run your social media from Perplexity Computer.
Computer already researches and writes. Add SociaHive as a connector and it can turn that work into drafts and scheduled posts on your real accounts.

Your server address

Perplexity, in the web app
- 1
In Perplexity, open your connector settings and add a custom remote MCP connector.
- 2
Name it SociaHive, paste the server address and pick Streamable HTTP as the transport.
- 3
Choose OAuth for authentication. Leave the client ID and secret empty: SociaHive registers Perplexity by itself.
- 4
Open the new SociaHive connector, sign in to SociaHive and approve. Tick Read-only access if you only want reports.
Then: Give Computer a task like “Draft three posts about this week’s news in my field and save them in SociaHive.”
Things to ask first.
Copy one into a chat once you are connected.
Three drafts wait in SociaHive for your review.
Real numbers from your accounts, side by side.
The post takes the first open time on your calendar.
What is Perplexity Computer?
Perplexity Computer is the agentic workspace from Perplexity AI. You give it a goal, and it breaks the goal into smaller tasks, hands them to sub-agents and routes the work across several models. It can use built-in connectors such as Gmail, Google Drive, GitHub and Slack, plus custom MCP connectors you add yourself.
It is a separate product from Perplexity search and from the Comet browser. Search answers a question; Computer works through a task with several steps and comes back with a result.
Computer is good at finding and summarizing what is happening in your field. SociaHive gives it somewhere to put that work: drafts and scheduled posts on 22 platforms, analytics from your own accounts, and comment-to-DM automations built as drafts.
Can Perplexity Computer post on a schedule?
We have not seen Perplexity’s own documentation describe recurring Computer tasks, so we can’t promise Computer will run your social media on a timer. Check Perplexity’s help center for the current state before you rely on it.
You don’t need it to. When Computer schedules a post, SociaHive holds the time. The post goes out from SociaHive’s queue at that time, even if Computer and your browser are closed.

What Perplexity Computer gets: the SociaHive MCP server.
One address, https://www.sociahive.com/api/mcp. The same server works in every AI tool on this site.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI tools use to reach outside apps. SociaHive runs a hosted MCP server, so there is nothing to install or keep running: Perplexity Computer calls it over the internet and acts in your SociaHive account. These are the tools it uses most. See every tool and the API.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| list_accounts | Lists the social accounts you connected to SociaHive. |
| create_scheduled_post | Writes a post, with text, images or video, for one or more accounts. |

One connection, every channel.
Connect each account once in SociaHive and Perplexity Computer can post to it. Scheduling covers 22 platforms; X needs a paid plan.
DM automations run on Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp on every paid plan, and on Telegram on Pro and Agency.
Is it safe to let Perplexity Computer post for you?
You approve the connection
Sign in to SociaHive and approve, or use an API key you can delete at any time. The agent never sees your social passwords.
Read-only if you want
Tick “Read-only access” when you connect and the agent can look at everything and change nothing.
Nothing goes live by surprise
Publishing right now asks for your yes in the chat. Automations it builds start as drafts until you turn them on.
Revoke in one click
Settings → Connected apps in SociaHive cuts the agent off on its next request. API keys are deleted under Settings → API keys.
Perplexity asks you to accept the risk of a custom connector before it adds one. With OAuth, Perplexity never sees a SociaHive password, and you can revoke it under Settings → Connected apps.
Perplexity Computer or another AI tool?

Connect Perplexity ComputerTroubleshooting Perplexity Computer.
- There is no option to add a custom connector.
- On an Enterprise workspace, an admin has to allow members to add custom connectors first. Elsewhere, try the web app: the mobile apps may not offer it.
- Computer does not use SociaHive in a task.
- Open the SociaHive connector card and finish the sign-in, then make sure the connector is turned on before you start the task.
- The connector form says the address is invalid.
- Paste the full https address exactly as shown above. Perplexity only accepts HTTPS addresses for remote connectors.
- It asks me to upgrade
- MCP access is part of the SociaHive trial and every paid plan. On the free plan the agent can connect, but each request answers with an upgrade link.
- An account is missing
- The agent only sees accounts connected in SociaHive. Connect it under Connected accounts, then ask the agent to list your accounts again.

FAQ
How do I connect SociaHive to Perplexity Computer?
Add a custom remote MCP connector in Perplexity, paste the SociaHive server address, choose OAuth, then sign in to SociaHive from the connector card.
Is Perplexity Computer the same as Perplexity search or Comet?
No. Search answers questions and Comet is a browser. Computer is the agent that carries out tasks with many steps, and it is the one that uses custom connectors like SociaHive.
Do I need a SociaHive API key?
No. With OAuth you sign in and approve, and Perplexity gets its own access that you can revoke any time. We recommend OAuth over the connector form’s API key option.
Which platforms can Perplexity Computer post to?
Any of the 22 platforms SociaHive schedules to that you have connected, such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads and Bluesky. X needs a paid SociaHive plan.
Can it run a recurring campaign?
It can schedule a whole campaign in one task, and SociaHive sends each post at its time. We have not confirmed that Computer can repeat a task on a timer by itself.
Should I use the connector or the SociaHive CLI?
Use the connector. It is the setup Perplexity documents for outside tools, and it signs in with OAuth. The CLI is for agents that run shell commands on a machine you control.
Can it post or change things without asking me?
Automations it builds start as drafts, with every step written out, until they are turned on. Publishing a post right away needs your yes in the chat. If you only want it to look, tick “Read-only access” when you connect: it can read everything and change nothing.
Which plans include it?
The 7-day trial and every paid plan. On the free plan your assistant can still connect, but each request answers with a link to upgrade instead of running.
How do I disconnect it?
Open Settings → Connected apps in SociaHive and revoke it. It is cut off on its very next request. You can also remove the connector in your assistant.
