Built-in formatting versus Unicode styles
Telegram has more formatting than most chat apps. Select text in a message to get bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, monospace, spoiler and links. That formatting is real: it survives forwarding, stays searchable and is read correctly by screen readers. Use it for messages and channel posts.
Unicode styles cover what the menu does not: script, small caps, fraktur, circled and upside-down letters, and anything in a field where formatting is not available, such as your name, bio and channel title.
Names, bios and channels
Your bio is only 70 characters, so one styled word or symbol line is usually enough. Your username must stay plain: letters, numbers and underscores, starting with a letter.
Channel and group names accept styled text and show up in every chat list, so they are a common place for a styled title. Keep one plain word in the name so people can still find the channel in search.
