Telegram already has bold, in messages
Telegram is one of the few messaging apps with built-in text formatting. In any chat, group or channel post, select text and pick Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough, Monospace or Spoiler from the menu. Desktop adds keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+B for bold and Ctrl+I for italic (Cmd on a Mac).
This formatting is real: screen readers read it normally, it is searchable, and it adds no extra characters. For messages and channel posts, use it instead of this generator.
Names, bios and channel titles
The formatting menu only appears in the message box. Your name, your bio, a group or channel title and a channel description are plain text, so the only way to make text bold there is to use different characters.
The generator above converts your letters to bold Unicode, which displays bold wherever it is pasted. Your bio is just 70 characters, so keep the styled part short: one word or a short label, with the rest plain.
Bold letters will not work in your username, which only accepts letters, numbers and underscores.

Keep it readable
Screen readers may read bold Unicode as math symbols or skip it, and search matches plain letters. A channel name written entirely in styled letters is harder to find and harder to read for some subscribers.
If you share the same text on X, it counts most of these letters as 2 characters each, so a styled line fills the post limit faster.
