Pick one and watch it get built
A LinkedIn showcase page is a sub-page of your Company Page that represents one brand, business unit or initiative, with its own followers and posts. Only a super admin of the parent Page can create one, and you can have up to 25.
LinkedIn says showcase pages are meant to build a long-term relationship with a specific audience. For a one-time event it recommends its advertising products instead.
What is a LinkedIn showcase page?
A showcase page is an extension of a parent LinkedIn Page. It has its own followers, posts and analytics, and it is tied to exactly one parent. LinkedIn Help says it can share posts and Sponsored Content with its followers separately from the parent Page.
LinkedIn's wording is a brand, business unit or organizational initiative. A product line, a regional brand or a department with its own audience all fit.
Who can create a LinkedIn showcase page
You must be a super admin of the parent Page, and the parent must be a Company Page or University Page. You can create up to 25 showcase pages, and each can have only one parent, per LinkedIn Help and the Page types overview.
Content admins and other roles cannot create one. If you are not a super admin, ask one to do it or to give you the role.
How to create a showcase page on LinkedIn
These steps follow LinkedIn's instructions for creating a Showcase Page.
- Open the super admin view of your parent Page.
- Click Create in the upper-left corner of the Page.
- Select Create a Showcase Page from the dropdown.
- Enter the parent Page in the Associated organization page box.
- Fill in the required fields marked with an asterisk.
- Click Create page.
After that, edit or complete the new page from your admin view. Page images follow LinkedIn's image specifications: PNG or JPEG, 3 MB maximum.
| Image | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Logo | 268 × 268 px | 400 × 400 px |
| Cover | 1512 × 256 px | 1512 × 256 px |
LinkedIn warns that covers can be trimmed on some screens, so keep key details away from the edges, especially the lower-right corner. Our LinkedIn image sizes guide covers the other formats.
Showcase page vs company page
A showcase page shares most tools with a Company Page, but not everything. The table follows LinkedIn's feature comparison.
| Feature | Company Page | Showcase Page |
|---|---|---|
| Page analytics | Yes | Yes |
| Activity notifications | Yes | Yes |
| Sponsor posts | Yes | Yes |
| Featured groups | Yes | Yes |
| Members can follow | Yes | Yes |
| Associate a profile with the Page | Yes | No |
| Associate a job posting | Yes | No |
| Career Pages | Yes | No |
Showcase analytics and notifications are counted separately from the parent's. Followers are not shared, and followers of the parent cannot be moved over. A showcase page also only appears in a LinkedIn search for members who already follow it.

When to use a showcase page and when to skip it
Create one when a product or unit has an audience that wants different content from your main Page, and you can post to it regularly. Skip it if you would only post once or twice a quarter (for a steady cadence, see how to schedule LinkedIn posts), because it starts with zero followers and nothing carries over from the parent.
A product launch with an end date is a poor fit, since LinkedIn points one-time events to advertising. If your goal is to list products, LinkedIn has a separate Product Page type.
Turn an existing Company Page into a showcase page
If you already run a Company Page that should really be a showcase page, you can ask LinkedIn to convert it. LinkedIn Help says conversions are irreversible and that followers, posts and the custom URL carry over.
You contact LinkedIn with the Page name and URL, the conversion type, the reason, and the name and URL of the new parent Page. A few things change:
- The URL path changes from /company/ to /showcase/.
- The description is cut to 200 characters.
- Admins stay admins, and jobs may need to be linked to the parent again.
- A conversion is refused if it is due to an acquisition or the new showcase page is a subsidiary.
Why you cannot create a showcase page
- You are not a super admin. Only super admins of the parent Page can create showcase pages.
- You have reached 25. That is the cap per parent Page.
- You hit the daily limit. LinkedIn limits how many you can create in a day to prevent spam. Wait at least 24 hours and try again.
- There is no parent Page. You need a Company or University Page first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it free to have a company page on LinkedIn?
Yes. LinkedIn says you can create a Company Page for free. A paid Premium Company Page subscription is optional and adds extra tools. You need a personal LinkedIn profile first, and you then create and manage the Page from that profile.
Can I delete a showcase page?
Not completely, but a super admin can deactivate it. Deactivating hides the page from members and from LinkedIn search, per LinkedIn Help. On desktop, open the super admin view, click Settings, choose Deactivate showcase page, tick the checkbox and click Deactivate. Super admins get an email with a link to reactivate it. A parent Page cannot be deactivated while it has active showcase pages.
Does a showcase page have its own URL, and can I change it?
Yes, it lives at linkedin.com/showcase/ followed by a name. A super admin can change it: open the admin view, click Edit page, then Page info, and type a new name in the LinkedIn Public URL box. LinkedIn notes your old URL can then be taken by another Page.
Is a showcase page the same as a product page?
No. A showcase page represents a brand, business unit or initiative and builds a following. LinkedIn's Product Page lists specific products, such as courses or software, and is its own page type. Both need an existing Company or University Page, per LinkedIn Help.
