Pick one and watch it get built
The fastest way to find your most liked tweet is X's advanced search: filter to your account, set a minimum number of likes, and raise the number until one post is left. X has no "sort by likes" button, so this narrowing is the standard workaround.
For recent posts, the Top Posts tab in X Analytics does the sorting for you. For exact numbers on every post, export your data and sort the file.
How to find your most liked tweet with advanced search
To find your most liked tweet, open advanced search while logged in, enter your handle under accounts, put a number in the minimum likes field and search. X Help says advanced search is available when you are logged in and filters by words, people, places and dates.
- Log in on x.com and type anything into the search bar.
- Click Advanced search on the results page.
- Enter your handle in the From these accounts field.
- Enter a number in the minimum likes field under Engagement.
- Click Search.
- Raise the number if you see too many posts, and lower it if you see none.
X's help page does not list the engagement fields. TweetDelete's guide and Tweet Binder both describe a Minimum Likes field under Engagement, and both say it takes a few tries to find the right number.
Jump in big steps. Try 100, then 1,000, then 500, halving the gap each time, and you will land on your top post in four or five searches.
Search operators for your most liked tweet in the app
The operator is min_faves, typed into the search bar: (from:yourhandle) min_faves:500. TweetDelete recommends it on the iPhone and Android apps, where it says the full advanced search form is not offered. It does the same job as the form: a handle and a minimum like count.
X's own help page does not document min_faves, so treat it as a search shortcut that works today rather than a guaranteed feature. Swap in another handle and the same search works for any public account.
Find your top posts in X Analytics
For recent posts, open analytics.x.com, select the Posts tab and open the Top Posts tab under the graph. TweetDelete and Tweet Binder both describe that tab, which lists your most popular posts for the date range at the top right. X's dashboard help page says the range defaults to the last 28 days and can be changed.
For exact like counts on every post, export the data. X says the file holds post-level data and permalinks, covers up to 30 days at a time, caps at 3,000 posts and uses UTC time. The detail view for a post shows likes, so check the file for a likes column before you rely on it.
- Go to analytics.x.com and sign in.
- Select the Posts tab.
- Pick a date range of 30 days or less.
- Select Export to get the CSV.
- Open it in a spreadsheet and sort by likes, highest first.
To cover a year, export one file per month and sort them together. It is tedious, and it gives you real counts instead of a threshold to guess.

Which method to use
Advanced search is quickest for one answer from any year, and the export is the only one with counts for every post.
| Method | Best for | Main limit |
|---|---|---|
| Advanced search, minimum likes | One top post, any age | You guess a threshold |
min_faves in the app | Phones | Same, and no sorting |
| Top Posts tab | Best recent posts | One date range at a time |
| CSV export | Counts for every post | 30 days per file |
| Third-party tools | Sorted lists in one view | Account access, fees |
Third-party tools for your most liked tweets
Third-party tools can sort your posts by likes in one view, but they need access to your account and often a paid plan. TweetDelete says most tools stopped working after X changed its API pricing, so check any tool's current pricing and permissions before you connect it. Tools that ask for account access carry the same kind of risk when used to clear out followers; see how to remove bot followers on X.
Tweet Binder says an all-time view needs its paid historical report. TweetDelete describes sorting by likes in Hootsuite and Circleboom.
Once you know your top post, reuse what worked. Check the length against the X character limit, and plan similar posts in advance with our guide to scheduling tweets. The X hashtag tool can help you pick tags for a follow-up. If your top post was a video, check the limits in how to post a video on Twitter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I sort my tweets by most likes?
Not directly on X. Neither your profile nor search offers a sort-by-likes control, so you filter with a minimum like count instead, or sort an exported CSV in a spreadsheet. The Top Posts tab in analytics ranks recent posts for you, but only within the date range you pick, not across your whole history.
Why does my search for a most liked tweet show nothing?
Your minimum likes number is higher than any post you have. Lower it and search again. If you get nothing even at a small number, check that the handle is spelled right and that you are logged in, since X says advanced search is available only when you are logged in.
Do I need a professional account to see X Analytics?
Tweet Binder says native X Analytics needs a professional or creator account that has been active for at least 14 days, and describes switching through Edit profile. X's help page says the dashboards are free with an ads account or by registering at analytics.x.com. If you cannot see data, check both routes before blaming your posts.
How do I find my most liked tweet from the last 24 hours?
Set the From and To dates in advanced search to cover the last day, keep your handle in the account field and add a low minimum likes number. Raise it until one post remains. The date fields are calendar dates, so the search covers whole days rather than an exact 24 hours.
