On Pinterest, names work like keywords
People open Pinterest to search for ideas: recipes, outfits, rooms, projects. Your profile name appears with your pins and in search, so a name that includes your topic helps the right people recognise and follow you.
Describe your account in the form the way a searcher would phrase it ("easy weeknight vegetarian recipes") rather than how you would pitch it. The AI gives names that keep that wording.
Matching the name to your profile
The profile picture is small (280 x 280 pixels), and the about section has room for up to 500 characters, so let the name carry the topic and the about section carry the details.
Then check your username. Pinterest usernames use letters, numbers and underscores only, so "Small Garden Ideas" could become small_garden_ideas if it is free.
