How this actually works
These are genuine characters with zero or blank rendering: Hangul Filler (U+3164) is a Korean placeholder that most platforms treat as a visible-but-empty character, Zero Width Space (U+200B) has no width at all, and Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800) is an empty braille cell. They behave differently — which one works depends on what the app does with whitespace.
Where it breaks
- Instagram strips ordinary spaces and line breaks from bios, which is the whole reason people need these — but it also filters some of them. Hangul Filler (the first one) is the most reliable there.
- Many platforms reject invisible characters in usernames specifically, to stop impersonation.
- Because they are invisible, it is easy to paste one accidentally and end up with text that looks fine but will not match a search or a login.

Which invisible character should I use?
