Start from what viewers get
The best channel names usually come from the viewer's side: what they learn, watch or feel. "Budget meal prep for students" leads to names like "Cheap Plate Club" that a student would click; "my cooking channel" leads nowhere.
So be specific in the description field, and use the second field for words that must appear, such as your name or a word you already use on other platforms.
From a name to a channel
When one idea stands out, say it the way you would open a video. Then set it as the channel name and pick a handle to match. The handle has stricter rules (3 to 30 characters, letters, numbers, periods, underscores and hyphens) and must be free, so have a backup in mind.
Your channel name sits next to an 800 x 800 profile picture and over a 2560 x 1440 banner. Choose a name that still reads well in that small circle beside your video titles.
